C!PRINT 2024, AN OLYMPIC SHAPE

C!Print - 2023/10/10

France’s leading printing exhibition is flexing its muscles for the next edition. Its new mantra, “Change the game”, reflects the show’s determination to support the growing digital and environmental transformation of the graphic arts industry. And 2024 will also be the year of the Olympic Games in France, a key year for the communications industry, which C!Print will be supporting with demonstration areas redesigned for the occasion.

Getting out of our comfort zone and opening up to new horizons to stimulate the creativity of the professionals who come to the show is an operating principle on which C!Print has been surfing since its creation, without running out of steam. Every year, it’s a new long-distance race to find the right ideas to make the 15,000 visitors who come to Lyon want to come back.

“CHANGE THE GAME”

In 2024, the year of the Olympic Games (OG) in France, the show is more than ever in the starting-blocks, as are all the French players in the graphic arts industry, whose workshops will be working at full speed to provide the communication elements needed to ensure the smooth running of the Olympic Games. “Change the game”, the company’s new motto, ties in with these current events.

It’s also a way of underlining the changes taking place in the graphic arts sector, with the show’s ongoing commitment to supporting the digital transformation of businesses, which is now the armed wing of the industry’s environmental transformation – Florent Zucca, C!Print’s Marketing Director.

A LIVE PRODUCTION LINE

To support these changes, C!Print is inaugurating a new demonstration area dedicated to the world of production: the C!Factory. Three years after the inauguration of its Software Village, the show is completing its immersive journey into the heart of the workshops by recreating, in situ, a complete production line. It’s an ambitious project, and one for which the show has decided to join forces with the experts in the Fabéon ecosystem, who are already helping a number of industrial players to transform their operations.

AN INDUSTRIAL FIBRE

For this first edition, the C!Factory will be transformed into a 100% automated manufacturing unit for basketball shirts: from product design to manufacture, personalisation and printing. “The trend towards the relocation of major manufacturing activities in the EMEA region is continuing, and this is driving manufacturers to modernise their workshops in order to improve both profitability and sustainability. The C!Print show, with its C!Factory, aims to play its part in supporting this industrial transformation. A series of dedicated conferences, featuring experts and manufacturers, will provide an opportunity to explore all these issues in greater depth and to see what the new rules of the game are,” explains Cécile Jarry, the show’s content manager.

A UNIQUE VISITOR EXPERIENCE

Of course, recreating a jersey factory at the show also makes sense in the year of the Olympic Games, especially in a city where basketball is king. But for the show, it’s also an opportunity to go further than a simple wink, and to offer a common narrative to all its exhibition spaces. So, for its fourth edition, the C!Wrap, the show’s official installation competition, will also be getting in on the act, with six teams of installers and mediapplicators competing against each other on a parquet floor, recreating the world of a basketball franchise. And at the Plug&Play customisation workshop, partner brands will be customising the perfect urban sportsman’s kit in the colours of the Playground brand created for the occasion. In 2024, C!Print will be offering an unprecedented playground for professionals in the graphic arts industry.
